Who knew finding the right weather stripping could be so difficult? We've been through three different kinds, but are hoping the latest one works.  It's an easy fix to a potentially expensive problem, especially in the Florida heat.

Spent time in the pool this afternoon and it felt great being outside!  Summer is here.

Window containers are planted!  Hoping to see some sprouts that I can share before the end of the challenge.  Also looking forward to the eco fair in the cafeteria today!

Weather was beautiful yesterday, so the family and I headed out (A/C off, windows cracked) and walked over to the community club tennis courts.  It was great spending time outside with my boys, enjoying the cool air.   #NoElectricityToPlay

I love growing lettuce, but the season feels so short in Florida and when a heat wave strikes, the lettuce strikes back with bitterness.  So... I've been toying around with the idea of growing it inside over the summer.  This weekend I picked up two small containers that fit almost perfectly on the kitchen ledge and will be our new source of fresh, clean romaine (with no chance of salmonella contamination).  ;-)

Super excited to go strawberry picking this last weekend.  It was great spending time together outside as a family and doing something interactive!  On the flip side, I am bummed that we missed Earth Hour.  My husband was looking forward to it for weeks, but at the last minute we decided to visit my parents and there was no way they weren't going to have lights or March Madness on.  Maybe next year!
